Overview
We aim to train mental health professionals who are able to (1) think scientifically; (2) identify and solve mental health problems; (3) conduct themselves ethically for the good of humanity; (4) support individuals who are experiencing mental distress; and (5) contribute to the health and welfare of citizens and society at large, by providing mental health support, and by being leaders in their communities.

School of Clinical Psychological Science
Our mission is to train mental health professionals who understand a range of contemporary mental health problems and have practical skills to provide suitable support for individuals experiencing mental distress. To graduate, students must earn 127 credits in four years, including 34 credits in liberal arts and 93 credits in specialized courses (80 credits are compulsory and 13 credits are elective).
Possible Qualifications
- Certified Psychologist (The Japanese Psychological Association)
- Child Psychologist (eligibility is subject to appointment in a relevant position)
- Psychological Evaluator (eligibility is subject to appointment in a relevant position)
